Dorothy M. (Goodreau) MacMillan, 85,

dorothy_macmillanDorothy M. (Goodreau) MacMillan, 85, of Atkinson, N.H., formerly of Bradford, passed away April 23,  peacefully, with her loving family at her side.

She was born October 23, 1930, in Providence, R.I., daughter of the late Harry Goodreau and Elsie (Stott) Barry. MacMillan was the wife of Dr. Kirwan T. MacMillan who would have celebrated 64 wonderful years of marriage this coming June. As they started a life and family together her husband’s military service in the U.S. Army took them to many stations across the United States and their family grew with children born in Massachusetts, California, Texas, Hawaii, and Georgia. She was a prolific reader and loved playing card games with family and friends especially her grandchildren. Her family was most important to her and with her large family there were many events and accomplishments to attend and celebrate.

Besides her husband, she is survived by eight children, daughters, Donna Raciti and husband David of Salem, N.H., Susan MacMillan of Methuen, Lisa Mullen and husband Shawn of Windham, N.H.; sons Thomas and wife Joy of Brentwood, N.H., Michael of Atkinson, N.H., Douglas and wife Lisa of Salem, N.H., Robert and wife Deborah of The Woodlands, Texas, Philip and wife Donna of Haverhill; as well as 20 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours Wednesday, April 27, from 4 to 7 p.m., at H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St. (route 125), Bradford. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, April 28, at 11 a.m., at Sacred Hearts Church, 165 South Main St. Bradford. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
