Paul A. David, 86, Worked in Shoe Industry

Paul_DavidPaul A. David, 86, husband of the late M. Elsie (Dandurant) David passed away April 21, at Merrimack Valley Hospice surrounded by his family.

Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late Adolphus A. and Delvina H. (Gaucher) David. He was raised and educated in Haverhill and was a graduate of Haverhill Trade School, class of 1947. He was employed for many years as a foreman and supervisor in the city’s shoe industry. David was a fisherman and a big sports fan especially the Boston Red Sox. He was an avid reader and enjoyed painting. He enjoyed going out dancing with his late wife of 55 years. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and especially loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children Paul A. David Jr. and his wife Kimberly of Haverhill; Paula J. Seymour and her husband Joseph of North Andover; four grandchildren, Courtney J. Seymour, Emily Seymour, Lauren David and Lilah David. He is predeceased by his siblings Cecile David, Alfred David, Victor David and Edmund David.

Funeral services will be private. Arrangements are by the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, 360 North St., Haverhill, MA 01830.
