Herve W. Langlois, 78, Worked at Lucent 40 Years

Herve W. Langlois, 78, A life-long resident of Haverhill, passed away Thursday, April 21, at Wingate of Haverhill Nursing Home.

He was born in Haverhill, Aug. 18, 1937, son of the late Wilfred J. and Clara (Ricard) Langlois. He was educated in the Haverhill school system and graduated from Haverhill High School. After graduation, he enlisted U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Mississippi. Following his honorable discharge from the Air Force, Langlois was employed at the former Lucent Technologies, North Andover, for more than 40 years.

He was predeceased by his sister Cecile Langlois Tutton. Langlois is survived by his wife, of 53 years, Carolyn A. (Carnevale) Langlois of Haverhill; three daughters, Sandra A. Minott and her husband Larry V. of Lakeland, Fla., Susan A. Ashes and her husband Maurice, of Haverhill, Anna M. Whitney and her husband Nelson, of Jay, Maine; six grandchildren, Anthony Langlois, Ty-ree Ashes, Courtney Minott, Sasha, Braun and Hunter Whitney; great-grandson Zev B’Nai Zion Minott; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours Tuesday, April 26, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Military honors will follow the calling hours at 8. His funeral service and burial will be private and at the convenience of his family.
