Buttonwoods Museum is looking for volunteer tour guides to conduct tours and staff its visitor center for the upcoming tourist season.

From an historic site overlooking the Merrimack River, Buttonwoods tells the story of life in the Merrimack Valley from native American settlements through today. The museum includes three historic structures—the Duncan House, John Ward House and Daniel Hunkins Shoe Shop.

The museum, 240 Water St., Haverhill, is open to the public for tours from May 1 through Oct. 31. Volunteers work two- to three-hours per week Tuesday through Friday, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., or weekends, Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 4 p.m.

To volunteer, contact Jan Williams at [email protected].
