Lisa J. (D’Orazio) Dion, 50, of Haverhill passed away Friday, April 8, at Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill.
She was born in Haverhill, Oct. 26, 1965, daughter of Joseph S. and Joanne V. (Lebro) D’Orazio of Bradford. She was a graduate of Haverhill High School, class of 1983, and attended Northern Essex Community College. She was employed in the Haverhill school system as a paraprofessional for several years and later worked alongside her father at the family business G&L Enterprises in Haverhill. Dion loved spending time with her friends, family and especially her grandchildren. She was a sun worshiper and enjoyed going to the beach. The family would thanks the doctors and staff at Lawrence General Hospital as well as the staff at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House for the outstanding care Lisa received.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter Tara L. Dion; son Brandon P. Dion both of Haverhill; brother Gary F. D’Orazio of Haverhill; grandchildren Brooke P. and Lucas C. Blanchette; and her dear friend and caregiver Laura Hanson.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours Tuesday, April 12, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St. (route 125) Bradford. Her funeral will be Wednesday, April 13, beginning at 10 a.m., at the funeral home followed by a funeral mass at 11, at Sacred Hearts Church, Bradford. Interment will follow in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. Contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
