The Haverhill Republican City Committee elected officers at its organizational meeting recently at Haverhill Public Library.
Former Haverhill city councilor and Mayor William H. Ryan was re-elected chairman and Dorothy Early was elected vice chair.
Other officers elected were Cheryl Ferguson, secretary, and Harry Yeo, treasurer. Ward chairs are Ward 1, Chuck Stearns; Ward 2, Charlie Early; Ward 3, Paul Ferguson; Ward 4, Pat Goudreault; Ward 5, Shaun P. Toohey; Ward 6, Maura Ryan-Ciardiello; and Ward 7, Richard Early Jr.
Jim Baker, of West Newbury, also addressed the gathering about his candidacy for Governors Council.
The usual suspects. Talk about recycling the old guard. I am sure all these elections were nail biters !
