  1. Haverhill’s mayor Taxman is speaking at a business meeting???? That has to be a misprint…..
What’s he going to speak about????
Is he going to bring up the meals tax he stuck city restaurants with?
Is he going to bring up the downtown parking tax he stuck downtown business owners with?
Is he going to bring up investing in a vehicle and employees to ticket as many cars as possible of those people working and visiting downtown businesses?
Is he going to bring up that it is guaranteed that city businesses will see their taxes go up EVERY year?
Is he going to bring up the city getting sued and his proposal last year of taking a downtown business by eminent domain so that the city could sell it to a private developer so they could profit from the sale?
Is he going to bring up how he used the inspections department to hold up the opening of a restaurant for personal reasons?
Is he going to mention how the owners of the businesses in the city’s largest business park complain that they are completely ignored by the mayor’s office?
Is he going to bring up how just last week a Lafayette Square business was reprimanded by city councilors regarding its signage, only to find out the owner had contacted the city multiple times for assistance and was ignored?

Never mind, I’m sorry, I’ve figured it out….he’s going to promote how he constantly is giving businesses HUGE tax breaks with no logical economic benefit to the city and at the expense of homeowners….like he did recently with Southwick Corporation.
