Health Quarters Honors Healey and Coakley April 7

Current and former Massachusetts Attorneys General Maura Healey and Martha Coakley.

Health Quarters, a Beverly-based sexual and reproductive health service with local clinics in Haverhill and Lawrence, honors Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey and her predecessor, Martha Coakley, during a fundraising event to benefit the clinics.

Healey and Coakley are this year’s honorees at Health Quarters’ fourth annual signature event, “Celebrating Remarkable Women,” to be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, April 7, at Spinelli’s Function Facility, Route One south, Lynnfield. It is open to the public, according to a statement.

“We are delighted to honor and thank these remarkable women for their work to protect and promote women’s access to publicly funded sexual and reproductive health services and accurate, comprehensive health information and education in Massachusetts,” said Health Quarters’ Executive Director Gabrielle Ross. “Access to these services gives women greater economic and social freedom and is central to their dignity and the preservation of their basic civil and human rights.”

Health Quarters’ local clinic is at 215 Summer St., Suite 16, Haverhill; and 101 Amesbury St., Suites 106 and 107, Lawrence.

Tickets are $50 each, $25 with student discount. Individual and corporate sponsorship opportunities are available.
