Ongoing utility work at the Harbor Place construction site at the eastern end of Merrimack Street is causing a daytime full street closure Monday between the Herbert H. Goecke Memorial Parking Deck and Pentucket Bank drive-thru entrances.
Today’s temporary closure is the only full street closure requested this week by contractor Dellbrook Construction, according to Haverhill Economic Development and Planning Director William Pillsbury Jr. As WHAV reported March 16, similar closures were scheduled last Wednesday and Thursday and other two-days-a-week closures are expected through the month of April. Access to local businesses, including Pentucket Bank lobby and drive-thru via the Merrimack Street parking deck access, will be maintained “at all times.”
“Closure dates for the following week will be forthcoming when they are available form the contractor,” Pillsbury said.
During the closures, thru traffic will be detoured onto How Street between Merrimack Street and Bailey Boulevard.
