A Haverhill man is due to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court on assault-related charges after his arrest by Haverhill police early Saturday.
Ernest Borges, 43, of 8 Hall St., Haverhill, was arrested at 2:15 a.m., Saturday, at home. He was charged with assault and battery on a person over 60 or disabled and violation of an abuse prevention order.

Adam Archambault, 24, of 29 Smith St., Haverhill, was taken into custody at 8:56 a.m., Friday, at police headquarters, 40 Bailey Boulevard, on a warrant charging him with indecent assault and battery on a child.
Ricardo Betancourt, 36, of Lowell, was arrested at 1:47 p.m., Friday, at 39 South Main St. Under a warrant, he was charged with one count of assault.
