Haverhill Education Association (HEA) is seeking nominations for its annual student scholarship.

The scholarship is awarded to a college-bound Haverhill High School graduate who has also been a student in the Haverhill Public Schools from grades 5 through 12. The scholarship is funded entirely by union members.

“The HEA Scholarship symbolizes the commitment Haverhill’s teachers make to the continued success of our students. Thanks to the generosity of our members, the 2015 winner of the HEA Scholarship was awarded a prize of $2,500,” according to a statement from the union.

To apply for the 2016 Haverhill Education Association Scholarship, candidates should download an application from the HEA website and send it with all required documentation to HEA Scholarship, 800 Broadway #3, Haverhill, MA 01382. Qualified candidates may also access the application at Haverhill High from the online scholarship system or the guidance department.  All applications must be postmarked by April 15.
