Helen Marie (Ryder) Berry, 72, Worked in Local Shoe Industry

Helen Marie (Ryder) Berry, 72, of Haverhill, passed away Saturday, March 19, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Portsmouth, N.H., she was the daughter of the late George G. and Helen (Dugnard) Ryder. Raised and educated in Portsmouth, she was a graduate of Woodbury High School, class of 1962. She worked for many years as a stitcher in the shoe industry at Allen Shoe in Haverhill. Helen was artistic and was an accomplished sketcher of drawings. What she cherished most of all was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Surviving her are her children, Neil Berry of New Hampshire, Craig J. Berry, Timothy P. Berry and William D. Berry, all of Massachusetts, and Roseanna Berry of Haverhill; 14 grandchildren; and a sister, Peggy Clancey of New Hampshire.
