Peter C. Pistone, 80, Worked at Lucent

peter_pistonePeter C. Pistone, 80, longtime Haverhill resident, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Tuesday evening, March 15, at the Hannah Duston Healthcare Center.

Pistonewas born in New York City  Sept. 7, 1935, oldest of four boys of the late Frank and Fannie (Faraci) Pistone. He was raised in Boston and Haverhill, and is a graduate of Haverhill High and Haverhill Trade School. He spent his career with Lucent Technologies, North Andover until his retirement. His activities included traveling, old western movies, an avid Red Sox and Patriot fan, but most of all he enjoyed the time spent with his family especially his nieces and nephews. Pistone was a member of the Victor Emmanuel Lodge of the Sons of Italy of Haverhill, the Garibaldi Club, and the former St. Rita’s Church.

His surviving family members include his loving brothers, Angelo Pistone and wife Barbara of Ohio and Robert Pistone and wife Margaret of Bradford; nieces and nephews, Susan Shea, Paula Pistone, Robert Pistone and wife Kristen, Dr. Kristyn Pistone, Mark Pistone and wife Holly and Allison Gagne and husband Joshua; several grandnieces and grandnephews; brother of the late Frank Pistone who passed in 2013.

His funeral will be Saturday morning, March 19, beginning at the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 South Main St., (route 125), Bradford at 10 a.m..  Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church, Lincoln Avenue, Haverhill at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Haverhill. Visiting hours will be Friday in the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. Contributions in Pistone’s memory may be made to the Angelo Petrozzelli Food Pantry of Sacred Hearts Parish, 48 So.
