The Haverhill “Hillies Nation” school band is preparing to march Saturday in the Lawrence Saint Patrick’s Day parade.

The band, comprised of Haverhill middle and high school students in grades 5 to 12, held its last pre-parade rehearsal and marching band techniques drill Wednesday afternoon. It will be the band’s second appearance in the Lawrence parade in three years.

“The Haverhill band made its debut in the Lawrence parade in 2014, earning a trophy for its outstanding performance,” said Director Dean Tsioropoulos. “We aim to earn another award this year.”

Band members will gather at 10 a.m., Saturday, in the band room at Haverhill High School, 137 Monument St., before being transported by bus to the parade, which steps off at 1 p.m. from the staging site at the intersection of Amesbury and Essex streets, Lawrence. The parade route follows Amesbury Street to the Casey (Central) Bridge onto Parker Street, then on Salem Street and past a reviewing stand at Loring Street. The parade continues on to Market Street, before ending at the intersection of Osgood and Market Streets, Lawrence.
