Police Respond to Drunk Driving, Assault Matters

A Haverhill woman is due to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court on drunk driving charges following her arrest Monday night by Haverhill police.

Sarah Williams, 26, of 2 Eighth Ave., Haverhill, was arrested at 9:05 p.m., Monday, at 124 Essex St. She was charged with driving under the influence of liquor and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.

In other police news:

Two Haverhill women were arrested on outstanding warrants Monday night during an investigation by Haverhill police which also led an assault charge against one.

Lisa Alder, 56, of 41 Arch St., Haverhill, was arrested at 10:21 p.m., Monday, at 58 Arch St. and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. She was also taken into custody on a warrant charging her with receiving a stolen motor vehicle. Minutes later, at 10;29 p.m., Crystal Alder, 31, of 58 Arch St., was arrested on a warrant charging her with threat to commit a crime. Both are due to appear in Haverhill District Court.

A Lawrence man arrested in downtown Haverhill Monday morning on unlicensed driving charges was to appear in district court. Nefali Rodriguez, 34, of Lawrence, was arrested at 10:29 a.m., Monday, on Ginty Boulevard. He was charged with driving without a license and forgery or misuse of a motor vehicle document.
