A second suspect was arrested and charged by Haverhill police Tuesday in connection with the Feb. 27 robbery of a woman at knifepoint at an ATM on River Street.

Michael Torrence, 26, of 12 Pearl Road, Peabody, was arrested by Haverhill police at 12:51 p.m., Tuesday, at 4 Hunters Run Place. He is expected to be arraigned today in Haverhill District Court on one count of armed robbery, according to Haverhill Police Captain Robert P. Pistone.

As WHAV reported, Corrado, 32, of Tewksbury, was taken into custody Sunday, Feb. 28, after Haverhill detectives, along with Tewksbury police, investigated in Tewksbury and conducted interviews, leading to his arrest. Police told WHAV a woman was making a withdrawal from a Bank of America ATM at 8 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 27, near the 99 Restaurant, 786 River St., when a man entered the freestanding unit with a knife and robbed her. A getaway vehicle belonged to Corrado, according to Haverhill Deputy Police Chief Anthony L. Haugh. Corrado was charged with armed robbery and possession of a class E drug.

“A witness was able to obtain a good view of license plate number and police were able to traced it back to a party in Tewksbury,” Pistone said at the time.
