Eleni (Koniditsiotis) Kalivas, Retired from Western Electric

Eleni (Koniditsiotis) Kalivas, wife of the late Arthur Kalivas who died in 2008, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, Feb. 28.

She was born in Lowell, daughter of the late James and Panagiota (Tsakonas) Koniditsiotis and had resided in Haverhill for 47 years prior to moving to Dracut in 2009. She was employed for many years as a secretary at Raytheon, Lowell, and retired from Western Electric, North Andover. Kalivas was a member of Holy Apostles Saints Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church, Haverhill, as well as the Hellenic Women’s Benevolent Association, Canton.

Her survivors include nieces Demi and her husband Wally Flanagan of Dracut, Joanna and her husband Dr. Leslie Ray Bryant, III, of Anchorage, Alaska; grandnephew Leslie Ray Bryant IV, of San Antonio, Texas; Goddaughters Elizabeth and her husband Dez Fiedler of Mill Valley, Calif., and Helene Modeski and her husband Craig of Dracut. Besides her husband, Kalivas was predeceased by a sister, Eugenia Marcus and brothers, Peter and Evangelos Koniditsiotis.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service Thursday morning, March 3, at 11, in Holy Apostles Saints Peter & Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 154-156 Winter St., Haverhill. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. At her request there will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Arthur and Eleni Kalivas Scholarship Fund, c/o, Haverhill High School, 139 Monument St., Haverhill, MA, 01832, or Holy Apostles Saints Peter & Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 154-156 Winter ST., Haverhill, MA 01830.
