Joan May Descoteaux, 85

joan_descoteauxJoan May Descoteaux, 85, of Spring Hill, Fla., wife of Brian Descoteaux passed away at the Oxford Rehab and Nursing Center Feb. 16.

Born in Hempstead, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Norma (Ross) Pearsall. She was raised and educated on Long Island, N.Y. She lived many years in Haverhill, Londonderry, N.H., and Spring Hill, Fla. areas. She was a devoted wife and mother who also loved her dogs and cats. Descoteaux enjoyed gardening, remodeling her homes, all types of crafting including knitting and crochet, and traveling. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, celebrating holidays and especially welcoming all of her many grandchildren and great grandchildren into the family with her endless heart full of love.

Surviving her, in addition to her husband Brian, are her children, Robert Sieczkowski of Brooksville, Fla.; James Sieczkowski of Newton, N.H.; Michael Sieczkowski and his wife Darlene of Plaistow, N.H.; William Sieczkowski and his wife Barbara of Holiday, Fla.; and Mary Lou McKinnon and her husband Charles of Derry, N.H.; a brother, Douglas Pearsall of Leeds; sisters Elaine Stockwell of Haverhill, Jane Sheffler and her husband William of Port Richie, Fla., Sheila Thibeau of Methuen and Arlene Sparacia of Long Island, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Keith Descoteaux and brother Norman Pearsall.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours Sunday, Feb. 21 from 2 to 5 p.m., at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services will be Monday at 10 a.m., in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery.
