Bernard C. Perron Jr., 58, Manufacturing Engineer

bernard_perronBernard C. Perron Jr., 58, of Groveland, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Feb. 17.

Perron was born in Lowell, Dec. 29, 1957, son of the late Bernard C. and Estelle (Parent) Perron. He was raised in Lowell and educated in Lowell Schools. He worked for more than 20 years with Teradyne, North Reading, as a manufacturing engineer. He was proud of being a self-taught individual throughout his career. His interests included boating, spending time at Lake Winnipesaukee, riding his motorcycle, skiing, fixing things from cars to electronics and figuring out how they operate. He was the best cook in town but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Perron’s surviving family members include his children Adam Perron, who presently is serving the in the U.S. Navy, Emily Perron of Groveland, Benjamin Perron, also, who presently is serving in the U.S. Navy; former wife Sheila A. Perron; siblings John Perron and wife Beth, Gloria Allard and husband Edward, Dianne Callahan, Colleen Armstrong and husband Paul, Pamela Stoddard and husband Clayton and his twin sister Christine Pilgram; also his uncle and Aunt Daniel and Patricia Parent and Aunt Frances Bianchi; 21 nieces and nephews; brother in-law of the late Michael Callahan.

Funeral servicesare Monday, Feb. 22, beginning in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 South Main Street, Haverhill (route 125) at 10 a.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 114 Center St., Groveland, at 11 a.m. Private interment will be held in St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury. Visiting hours will be Sunday in the funeral home from 1 to 5 p.m. Contributions may be made in Bernard’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
