A 22-year-old Haverhill man, accused of manslaughter in the Feb. 1 shooting death of his friend, was ordered to refrain from drugs and alcohol and allowed to post bail after his arraignment Friday
Ross Tucker, 22, 6 Innisfree Drive, Haverhill, was arraigned today in Salem Superior Court for manslaughter and carrying a firearm while under the influence in connection with the shooting death of Eric Benedict at Benedict’s Lake Street home. He was represented by attorney Scott Gleason.
Judge Timothy Feeley imposed $5,000 cash bail and ordered the defendant to remain drug and alcohol free, submit to random screens and not to possess or be in the presence of firearms.
An Essex County Grand Jury indicted Tucker on the charges yesterday following a grand jury investigation led by Essex Assistant District Attorney Ashlee Logan. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for March 25.
