The cold snap has enabled the city to open three city ice skating rinks.

Rinks are at Riverside Park, GAR Park and Swasey Field and open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

“This winter has been a challenge with warm temperatures, making the ice rinks into pools,” said Mayor James J. Fiorentini. “The lights are on at night for skaters at Riverside Park to enjoy the rink. The city has provided free skating for the last five years,” he added.
