A Haverhill man is due to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court on an assault and battery charge after being arrested by Haverhill police Sunday evening.
Steven Montisanti, 33, of 81 Winter St., Haverhill, was arrested at 7:04 p.m., Sunday, at his residence. He was charged with assault and battery with subsequent bodily injury. No further details were available by deadline.
Two Haverhill motorists face separate drunk driving charges after arrests by Haverhill police over the weekend.
Susan Najuch, 58, of 123 Oakwood Ave., Haverhill, was arrested at 6:27 p.m., Saturday, on Muriel Terrace. She was charged with driving under the influence of liquor, alcohol from an open container and not having a driver’s license in possession.
Maria Caba, 45, of 45 Brook St., Haverhill, was arrested at 10:13 p.m., Friday, at Westgate plaza, 400 Lowell Ave. She was charged with driving under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop or yield.
In other police news, a Haverhill woman is due to appear in district court on a charge of disturbing the peace after her arrest Saturday night. Ann Aguirre, 27, of 29 Arch St., Haverhill, was taken into custody at 9:11 p.m., Saturday, at home.
