Police Arrest Four in Dawn Drug Raid; Seize Drugs, Weapons

Haverhill police are continuing their crackdown on suspected drug houses, arresting four this morning at dawn and seizing pills, ammunition and electric stun guns.

Haverhill Police detectives conducted the raids at 5 a.m., at 1 ½ Park Ave., 129 Cedar St., and 136 South Elm St., with the assistance of the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; Drug Enforcement Agency; Federal Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations; Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section and Special Tactical Operations Team; and the Essex County Sheriff’s Department.

“This investigation remains open and charges against additional persons are forthcoming. These search warrants were the result of cooperative investigations amongst the various agencies involved in these search warrants with the intent to disrupt illegal drug dealing and illegal firearms possession by known gang members in the city of Haverhill,” said Captain Robert P. Pistone, police spokesperson.

Arrested were:

Shawn Dagraca, 20, of 1 ½ Park Ave., on two counts of possession of a class B drug with intent to distribute, conspiracy to violate drug laws, unlicensed possession of ammunition and possession of an electric stun gun.

Patricia Laing, 39, of 19 4th Ave., was charged with two counts of possession of a class B drug with intent to distribute, conspiracy to violate drug laws, unlicensed possession of ammunition and possession of an electric stun gun.

Tyler Fitzgerald, 22, of 41 8th Ave., was charged with unlicensed possession of ammunition, possession of a class B drug with intent to distribute—subsequent offense and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

Brittany Dagraca, 18, of 1 ½ Park Ave., was charged with unlicensed possession of ammunition, possession of a class B drug with intent to distribute and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

  1. It IS awful, and we are probably fully supporting these bums. My first question is….. what is a 39 year old woman doing hanging around with these kids? Is it a case of arrested development? AND this is another case of ILLEGAL FIREARMS possession. Acknowledging that the police cannot be everywhere at once, just how does anyone propose we defend ourselves from these awful people?
