John H. Noury, 89, Worked in Shoe Industry

john_nouryJohn H. Noury, 89, of Bradford, died Thursday, Jan, 28, surrounded by his family at Holy Family Hospital at Merrimack Valley, Haverhill.

He was born in Haverhill, Sept. 11, 1926, son of the late John F. and Nora (Zabriskie) Noury. Educated in the Haverhill school system, Noury attended Haverhill Trade School. He was employed for a period of time in the Haverhill and Amesbury shoe industry and, until his retirement in 1989, was a 30-year employee of Lucent Technologies/AT&T, as a layout operator. An avid Patriots fan, Noury enjoyed bingo, roller skating, ice skating, playing cards, trips to Foxwoods and playing the harmonica.

He was the husband of the late Lucille S. (Soucy) Noury who died in 2015 and father-in-law of the late Michael V. Sargent who died in 2015. His survivors include three children Mary Ann Sargent of Bradford, John F. “Jack” Noury and his wife Angela of Haverhill and Joanne McDermott of Bradford; sister, Frances Blinn of Plaistow, N.H.; four grandchildren, Michael Sargent and his wife Julie, Chris Sargent, Kimberly Finn and her husband John and Krystle McDermott; 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation Tuesday, Feb. 2, from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11 at the H.L. Farmer and Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St., Bradford. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Amesbury.
