Buttonwoods Presents ‘Eureka! Haverhill Inventors’ Feb. 9

Children will learn about telephone inventor Alexander Graham Bell’s Haverhill connection, among other interesting facts.

What do the telephone, Bartlett Pear and a fire extinguisher all have in common?

Their inventors all had Haverhill connections. Buttonwoods Museum Homeschool Program is presenting “Eureka! Haverhill Inventors,” exploring historic inventors like Alexander Graham Bell and Dr. James Nichols, and creating some new inventions. The class takes place Tues. Feb. 9, from 10 a.m. to noon, at Buttonwoods Museum, 240 Water St., Haverhill.

Homeschool programs are open to children, ages 4 to 12. The cost is $5 per child. Spaces are limited and pre-registration is required. To register email [email protected] by Thurs. Feb. 4.
