Haverhill Police Make Separate Drunk Driving Arrests

Two area motorists are due to appear in Haverhill District Court on unrelated drunk driving charges following separate arrests by Haverhill police Saturday night.

William Basler, 40, of 20 Grove St., Haverhill, was arrested at 7:47 p.m., Saturday, at 138 South Pleasant St. He was charged with driving under the influence of liquor (third offense) and speeding.

Lisa Trede, 35, of Methuen, was arrested at 11:30 p.m., Saturday, at 146 Summer St., Haverhill, on a single count of driving under the influence of liquor.

In other police news, two women were taken into custody Sunday night as the result of a police response to an incident at 21 Bartlett Ave.

Emma Ortiz, 27, of 277 Washington St., Haverhill, was arrested at 9:28 p.m., Sunday and charged with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and one count of assault with a dangerous weapon. Felisha Dow, 23, of Exeter, was also taken into custody on an unspecified outstanding warrant. No further details were available by deadline.

Also, a Haverhill man is due to be arraigned in district court on theft-related charges stemming from his arrest Saturday morning at Central Plaza, 2 Water St.

Corey Pickard, 25, of 113 White St., Haverhill, was arrested at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, on charges of larceny from a person and threat to commit a crime.
