Police Arrest Haverhill Man Who Allegedly Threatened Family

A Haverhill man is due to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court on assault charges after his arrest by Haverhill police late Thursday night.

Stephen O’Shea, 28, of 33 Woodcock Ave., Haverhill, was arrested at 11:14 p.m., Thursday, at home. He was charged with assault and battery on a family or household member, strangulation or suffocation and threat to commit a crime. No further details were available by deadline.

In other police news, a Haverhill man arrested on a warrant for assault charges Thursday morning was to appear in court. Christopher Burke, 36, of 132 South Elm St., Haverhill, was taken into custody at 9:14 a.m., Thursday, at police headquarters, 40 Bailey Boulevard. Under a warrant, he was charged with assault and battery on a family or household member, witness intimidation and threat to commit a crime.

  1. Both of these men need to GET A LIFE! They are too old to be involved in these assaults. What is wrong with these people? If they can’t get along with family members, MOVE OUT of the house, get your own place to live and let everyone get on with their lives.
