Lorraine T. (Therrien) Bergeron, 90, Worked at Compugraphic

Lorraine_BergeronLorraine T. (Therrien) Bergeron, 90, of Methuen, passed away Jan. 12, at Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre surrounded by her family.

Bergeron was born Feb. 28, 1925, and was the daughter of the late Adelard and Albea (LeTarte) Therrien. She graduated from St. Theresa’s High School. She worked at Jonell Shoe Manufacturing in Lawrence and the Compugraphic Corporation in North Reading. She was a homemaker for many years, and retired in 1988. Bergeron loved playing cards, bingo, knitting and crossword puzzles. She enjoyed weekends with her family, relatives and friends on Lake Winnisquam with her late cousin Roland Therrien and his wife Evelyn.

A devoted wife of 57 years to the late Elie A. Bergeron, she leaves behind her sons Paul Bergeron and his wife Nancy (Adams) of Haverhill; Richard Bergeron and his wife Beverly of Londonderry, N.H.; sisters, Sister Anita Therrien of Biddeford, Maine, and Evelyn Mahoney of Haverhill; grandchildren, Matthew Bergeron of Haverhill and Stephanie Bergeron of Methuen; Robert Bergeron and his wife Carrie of Haverhill; Paula Holland and her husband Dr. Christopher Holland of Utah and their mother Pamela Bergeron; niece, Virginia DePetrillo; several nieces and nephews; and four great grandchildren, Ryan, Layla, Thomas and Wayne. A special thank you to her long-time best friend, Ellen Morin-Lawn. Bergeron’s family thanks the staff at Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre for her excellent care.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours Friday, Jan. 15, from 10 to 11 a.m., at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Ave., Haverhill at 11:30 a.m., following calling hours. Interment will follow at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Mausoleum in Lawrence. Contributions may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
