Barry S. Bourque, 61, Worked in Auto Body Repair

Barry_BourqueBarry S. Bourque, 61, of Merrimac and formerly of Haverhill, passed away Thursday morning, Jan. 14, at his home surrounded by his family after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Bourque was born Aug. 25, 1954 in Haverhill, son of the late Raymond and Eleanor (Giles) Bourque. He attended Haverhill schools and worked for many years in the auto body industry in the area. He was the husband of 35 years to Carol (Potter) Bourque of Merrimac. He has been a longtime resident of Merrimac where he and his wife raised their family. His interests included hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors and on his boat with family and friends.

Besides his wife, he leaves two sons Russell Bourque and wife April of Salem, N.H., and Adam Bourque of Merrimac; siblings Bill Bourque and wife Joan of Haverhill, Calvin Bourque of Kingston, N.H., Simone Mooers and husband Dave of Atkinson, N.H., Jane Bourque of Amesbury, Carole Sibley of Haverhill and Jay Bourque and wife Linda of Fremont, N.H.; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 17, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 South Main St., Haverhill, from 1 to 4 p.m. Services will be at 4 p.m. Contributions may be made in his memory to the Cure Pancreatic Cancer Lustgarten Foundation at www.lustgarten.org/donate or The Lustgarten Foundation, 1111 Stewart Avenue, Bethpage, NY 11714.
