Kenneth W. Barton Jr., 51, Served During Gulf War

kenneth_BartonKenneth W. Barton Jr., 51, of Haverhill, passed away Jan. 6, at Holy Family Hospital at Merrimack Valley, Haverhill, after a battle with cancer.

Born in Haverhill, he was the son of Kenneth W. Barton of Haverhill and the late Judith I. (Forisso) Barton. He attended Haverhill Public Schools and was a graduate of Whittier Regional Vocational technical High School, class of 1982. Barton served his country in the United States Army during the Gulf War. He was a jack of all trades and a talented mechanic. He was known as a great man who didn’t hesitate to help everyone he knew. He was as strong as an ox and as gentle as a lamb. He had a heart of gold. He lived life to the fullest and even with the highest hurdles in his path, jumped over them with all his might.

He is survived by his daughter, Alicia A. Barton and her companion Brian Goutier;  grandson, Murphy W. Barton of Haverhill; son, Austin J.W. Barton of Arkansas; sister, Kimberly A. Cunningham of Haverhill; father Kenneth W. Barton of Haverhill; niece Kalyn Bonilla and her son Isaiah Bonilla of Haverhill; and companion, Maura Donovan of Haverhill. He was predeceased by his son, Corey Michael Barton.
