Police Arrest Three on Unrelated Drug Possession Charges

Three Haverhill men are to face unrelated drug possession charges, among others, in Haverhill District Court as a result of separate arrests by Haverhill police Thursday.

Jonathan Roy, 21, of 25 High St., Haverhill, was arrested at 9:40 a.m., Thursday, at home. He was charged with possession of a class B drug. Under an outstanding warrant, he was additionally charged with possession of a class D drug, conspiracy to violate drug laws and drug violation near a school zone.

Jacob Emery, 28, of 84 Dwight St., Haverhill, was arrested on a warrant at 8:07 p.m,, Thursday, at police headquarters, 40 Bailey Boulevard. Under the warrant, he was charged with possession of a class E drug.

Franklin Perez, 52, of 59 Hillcrest Ave., Haverhill, was arrested at 9:04 p.m., Thursday, at Westgate shopping plaza, 400 Lowell Ave. He was charged with drug possession with intent to distribute, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

In other police news, a Merrimac man was to appear in Haverhill District Court on a charge of driving under the influence of liquor after his arrest early Thursday by Haverhill police. Christopher Madeiros, 25, of Merrimac, was taken into custody at 1:34 a.m., Thursday, at 890 Amesbury Road.
