Buttonwoods Museum will present a lecture, “Humor in Journalism,” with Tom Vartabedian, from 7 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 21.

Fifty-year Haverhill Gazette staff writer Vartabedian wrote hundreds of stories prior to his retirement a decade ago. He will speak on “some of the hilarious typographical errors and amusing anecdotes over the past 50 years.”

The lecture, which takes place at Buttonwoods Museum, 240 Water St., Haverhill, is open to the public and free. The Museum’s parking lot can be reached via John Ward Ave in the winter months.
