New Years is filled with resolutions that usually involve dieting and exercise. Gardening is a great way to help accomplish those two resolutions, while also improving your mood, reducing blood pressure, managing anger, maintaining flexibility and much more.

So gather family, friends, a calendar and make some gardening plans for the year ahead. Perhaps you want to plan a monthly project that you all can share.

For January start your healthful eating out right with microgreens. They are quick, easy and require no special equipment. Plus, recent research found that many contain as much as 25 times more nutrients as the leaves of the full grown plant.

In February inventory and share seeds as you start planning your garden. Turn old seeds into artwork with sheets of paper or small pieces of wood, glue and creativity.

So break out the calendar and start planning a healthful year of gardening projects.

  1. Fantastic. I love my gardening projects calendar and luckily am in a warm-weather area where I can always be growing something or other. <3 Mel at catesgarden
