Nora (Georgian) Saxonis, 98, of Haverhill passed away Monday, Dec, 28, in Haverhill.
She was born in Haverhill Oct. 4, 1917, daughter of the late George and Anastasia (Barakitis) Georgian. Saxonis was educated in the Haverhill schools and was employed at the former Hamel Leather and Shoe Co. She was the wife of the late Charles Saxonis who passed away in 1992, and sister of the late Angelo, Peter, John, James and Daniel Georgian.
She is survived by her daughter Antoinette “Toni” and her husband Fran Fournier of Bradford; grandson Stephen Fournier and his wife Cassandra; two great granddaughters Alexis and Alana both of Windham, N.H.; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours Wednesday, Dec. 30, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St. (route 125) Bradford. Her funeral will be Thursday, Dec. 31, beginning at 9 a.m., at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Service at 10 at Holy Apostles Church, 154 Winter St. Haverhill. Burial will be in the Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. BOX 1893, Memphis, TN, 38101-9950.
