Shirley B. (Whitehead) Moss, 90

shirley_mossShirley B. (Whitehead) Moss, 90, of Haverhill, wife of the late Andrew Moss, passed away Friday, Dec. 18, at Anna Jacques Hospital surrounded by her family.

Born in Montreal, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth B. and Hilda (Cocks) Whitehead. She attended Montreal Public Schools and was a graduate of Montreal High School, class of 1943. She continued her education at Miss Brown’s Business College. Primarily a homemaker she was married to the late Andrew Moss for 58 years upon his passing in 2006. Along with her husband, she traveled extensively all over the world. She was an avid golfer, with memberships to the Haverhill Country Club and the Plantation Golf and Country Club in Venice, Fla.

She is survived by her children, Sherida Blair Daley and her husband George E. of Haverhill; Pamela B. Benson and her husband Lloyd of Salem, and Patricia B. DeSando and her husband Joseph of Newton, N.H.; six grandchildren, Kathryn Julien, Andrew Sieminski, Melissa Theriault, Sarah Phillips, Alicia Roeder and Dominic DeSando; five great grandchildren, Zachary Sieminski, Madeline Julien, Charlotte Julien, Adam Roeder and Logan Roeder. She was predeceased by her sister Patricia B. Masera, who passed away on Dec. 18, 1998, 17 years to the day of Shirley’s passing.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours Monday, Dec. 21, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, Dec. 22, at 11 a.m., in the funeral home. Burial follows in Linwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Veteran’s Northeast Outreach Center, 10 Reed Street, Haverhill, MA 01832.
