Police Arrest Two After Route 110 Traffic Stop

Two people, including a Haverhill man, face various charges in Haverhill District Court after their arrests early Sunday following a traffic stop by Haverhill police on Amesbury Road, route 110.

Alayna Davies, 25, of Kensington, N.H. and Brett Mireault, 26, of 1129 West Lowell Ave., Haverhill, were arrested shortly before 2:30 a.m., Sunday, at 167 Amesbury Road. Davies was charged with driving under the influence of liquor. Mireault was taken into custody on outstanding warrants for disorderly conduct, driving in violation of a license restriction, a lights violation and violation of a municipal bylaw or ordinance.

In other police news:

Two men are due to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court on drug possession charges after their arrests by Haverhill police Sunday afternoon at McDonald’s, 1180 Main St.

David Mooney, 30, of Newington, N.H., and Christopher Riley, 21, of South Berwick, Maine, were arrested between 1:13 and 1:29 p.m., Sunday, and were each charged with possession of a class A drug. Under an outstanding warrant, Riley faces an additional count of possession of a class A drug.

At about the same time, in an unrelated incident, a Haverhill man was also arrested near Lafayette Square on a similar drug possession charge, among others. Haverhill police report Mark Cuevas, 28, of 15 Broadway, Haverhill, was arrested at 1:29 p.m., Sunday, at home. He was charged with possession of a class A drug and disorderly conduct.

A New Hampshire woman faces a shoplifting charge in Haverhill District Court after being arrested by Haverhill police Friday evening. Felisha Dow, 23, of Exeter, was arrested at 7:04 p.m., Friday, at Westgate shopping plaza, 400 Lowell Ave.

A Haverhill man heads to court on vandalism charges in connection with an investigation by police early Saturday. Zachary Evans, 21, of 16 South Warren St., Bradford section, was arrested by Haverhill police at 2:35 a.m., Saturday, on Pond Street. He was charged with two counts of defacing property.
