New Shoe Bench Honors Barker Family Pharmacists

Visitors to Central Square, Bradford, will receive a bit of a history lesson with the installation of the latest shoe bench there by Team Haverhill.

More than 50 family and community members attended the dedication of “Three Generations of Pharmacists,” sponsored by the family of the late Joseph Barker and Paper Potpourri. It was the latest installation as part of Team Haverhill’s “Soles of Haverhill” series. The shoe is only a few doors away from where one of the Barker pharmacies once operated, according to Team Haverhill.

The bench theme was designed by artist Rob Sardella. Permanent plaques will be affixed to all of the new shoes later in the season.

Here is the complete list of shoe benches.
