Just in time for the presidential election season, Northern Essex Community College is bringing back its “Quest for the Presidency” class, beginning in January.

Richard Padova of Andover, who has worked on eight presidential campaigns, both Democratic and Republican, is reviving his history for the spring 2016 semester, which begins January 20. Padova teaches in the Global Studies Department at Northern Essex Community College.

The three-credit course is offered on the Haverhill campus, 100 Elliott St., Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 11 to 11:50 a.m. It is open to the public. It examines both the history and the mechanics of U.S. presidential campaigns from George Washington to the present. Candidates and issues in the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign will also be studied within the context of the course.
