John T. Pennisi, 64, Technician with Davis Industries at Philips Medical

pennisiJohn T. Pennisi, 64, of Haverhill, husband of Carol N. (Bologna) Pennisi passed away unexpectedly Monday, Dec. 7, surrounded by his family.

Born in Lawrence, he was the son of Salvatore L. Pennisi and the late Josephine (Marino) Pennisi. He was raised in Lawrence and attended Lawrence public schools. He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, class of 1969. After graduation he attended Northern Essex Community College and graduated with an associate’s degree in 1972. He then attended New Hampshire Vocational College, earning a Certificate in Electronic Technology in 1974. Pennisi was employed as a technician with Davis Industries at Philips Medical, Andover. He was a talented pianist and organist with an encyclopedic knowledge of music. He could fix almost anything and was especially skilled at repairing all kinds of electronic equipment.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Jeffrey J. Pennisi and his wife Chrystal N. of Lawrence; step children Amy R. Higgins of Plaistow, N.H., Elizabeth A. Kinnal of Brighton and Stephen T. Kinnal of Haverhill; brother, Richard Pennisi of Windham, N.H.; sister, Joyce Lee and her husband Jeffrey of Lawrence; grandchildren, Jessalyn H. Higgins and Raychel L. Pennisi; mother-in-law, Jacqueline Bologna of Haverhill; aunt and uncle, Anthony and Mary Balsamo of Methuen; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wives Linda R. (Sousa) Pennisi and Jan (Prime) Pennisi.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Friday, Dec. 11 from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services begin Saturday morning at 9 from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. James Church, Winter Street, Haverhill. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to a Charity of one’s choice.
