No Injuries in Single-Car Bradford Accident; Police Close Route 125

No injuries were reported after a single-vehicle accident early Tuesday morning on South Main Street.

A 1997 Buick, operated by Stephanie L. Verdine, 26, of 425 South Main St., Haverhill, was traveling southbound before it came to rest at the side of the road after colliding with a utility pole at 5:48 a.m., Tuesday, at 445 South Main St.

Verdine was examined at the scene by emergency medical technicians from Trinity Ambulance but refused medical aid. The vehicle’s front air bags deployed in the crash. It received heavy front end damage and had to be towed from the scene. The utility pole showed no visible sign of damage but police advised pole owner Verizon of the incident.

The accident prompted police to temporarily close South Main Street and divert traffic between Blossom Street and Laurel Avenue.

Verdine was cited by police for two specific infractions, but details, including part of a description, were inexplicably blacked out from the police report. WHAV is requesting clarification.
