The Silver Hill Horace Mann Charter School is having an open house Saturday morning.
Those looking to learn more about the school, its lottery admission process and programs offered, or to tour the school, have an opportunity between 10 a.m. and noon, Saturday, Dec. 12, at 675 Washington St.
The charter school, for students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade, is owned by the city but operated by an independent board of trustees. Student admission lottery applications are being taken until Friday, Jan. 8, 2016, and names will be drawn Thursday, Jan. 28, at 10 a.m. in the school cafeteria.
