A progress report on an urban design study for the Merrimack Street Transformative Development Initiative (TDI) has been delayed until Monday, Dec. 21.

The presentation by quasi-public agency MassDevelopment, previously scheduled Nov. 12, at 90 Washington St., was delayed by “several unforeseen conflicts with other city and partner events” and other scheduling difficulties, according to MassDevelopment Transformative Development Fellow Noah B. Koretz.

“Scheduling is always very difficult this time of year. The next public meeting will take place on Monday, Dec. 21 at 7 p.m.,” Koretz announced in an e-mail update Monday.

WHAV reported Oct. 29 consultants were to present “some of their initial analysis and solicit additional public comment.” The report stems from interactive meetings as early as September, when a “public charrette and visioning session” was held for an urban design study in the eastern half of downtown Haverhill. City officials in partnership with MassDevelopment, a state economic development and finance agency, as well as with Utile Architecture and Planning of Boston, participated.

MassDevelopment “works with businesses, nonprofits, and local, state, and federal officials and agencies to stimulate economic growth across the Commonwealth, according to a statement on its website.
