The administrator of the popular Facebook page, “You Know You’re From Haverhill When…” has been named membership coordinator of the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce (GHCC).
Ashleigh Bergh, most recently the assistant director of Alumni Engagement at Occidental College, Los Angeles, Calif., joins the chamber staff to work “directly on engagement with existing business members and outreach to the surrounding business community,” said Chamber President and CEO Stacey L. Bruzzese. Bergh will be responsible for initial contact with new local businesses, as well as the continuation of ongoing relationships with “well-established entities.”
“Her energy and enthusiasm are contagious already earning her a reputation as a ‘mover and shaker’ locally,” Bruzzese said in a statement Monday. “Ashleigh’s fresh approach and passion for the community will help GHCC continue to advance.”
Her Facebook page, often used by members to share historic Haverhill photographs and stories, has nearly 10,000 followers. She is a Haverhill native.
Prior to Occidental, Bergh worked for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s “Team In Training” program. She is a longtime volunteer at HC Media and a newly elected board member for the Haverhill Education Foundation. Bergh holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications cum laude from Framingham State University.
At the chamber, Bergh will “provide a conduit for new members leveraging chamber resources, providing access to municipal leaders and developing professional growth opportunities.” Bergh will also act as liaison to both the Member Services and Ambassador Committees of the chamber.
Ashleigh is one of my favorite people! The Chamber is so lucky to have snagged her up. She loves Haverhill more than anyone I know. Good luck to her in her new role!!

Let’s be honest, she got this job as she worked in Sven Amirians campaign. Since he is the former chamber president doesn’t take much brain power to realize he made a call to his friend Stacey to get her Ashley a job.
Bringing Ashleigh on board is a brilliant idea
