Methuen Seeks Public’s Help Identifying Armed Robbery Suspect


Methuen police are asking for the public’s help to locate a suspect in connection with an armed robbery late Saturday afternoon at Stop Quick Convenience Store, 12 Haverhill St, Methuen.

According to police, surveillance video showed a white male entered the store at a fast pace shortly before 4:30 p.m., Saturday and came around the back of the counter, demanded cash from the clerk and threatened to stab him while no weapon was shown. The man grabbed a cigar box containing an undetermined amount of cash from under the counter and fled the store.

The suspect, last seen heading down Cypress Avenue, Methuen, was described as about six feet, three inches tall, unshaven, wearing a white or grey hooded sweatshirt, black gloves and blue jeans.
