Flora G. Houle, 92, Kitchen Aid at Hunking School

Flora G. Houle, 92, of Haverhill passed away peacefully, Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 24 at Penacook Place Nursing Home.

She was born in Haverhill, Sept. 30 1923, the daughter of the late Ralph and Mary (Lieto) Scovotti. Houle was educated in the Haverhill public school system and was employed as a dietitian at the Oxford Manor for 15 years and as a kitchen aid at the Hunking School until her retirement in 1989. She was a past member of the former St. Rita’s Church, Haverhill. Houle was predeceased by her husband, Arthur J. Houle, and sister, Rose M. Aiello and brother, Manuel Scovotti. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Katherine Diffin and her husband Perley of Haverhill, Cathy Diffin and Robert Diffin and his wife Theresa both of Haverhill; great nieces and great nephews Kelly Diffin, Jared Diffin, Paula Scovotti and Theresa Bouchard, Robin Scovotti, Gina Riviezzo, Ralph Scovotti, Paul and his wife Christine Scovotti and Melanie Raycraft.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation Saturday morning, Nov. 28, from 10 to 11 a.m., at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Her funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:15 a.m.. at the Funeral Home. Interment will be private in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Haverhill. Contributions in her memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
