Police Arrest 24-Year-Old with Unlicensed Firearm, Ammunition

A Haverhill man is due to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court on assault and firearms charges after an arrest by police in connection with a disturbance late Thursday night.

Angel Rivera, 24, of 12 Broad St., Haverhill, was arrested at 11:45 p.m., Thursday, on Angle Street. He was charged with assault and battery, carrying a firearm without a license and unlicensed possession of ammunition.

Two people are due to appear in Haverhill District Court after an investigation by police lead to their arrests Thursday evening at police headquarters, 40 Bailey Boulevard.

Robert Rosenberger, 18, of Kingston and Connor Holland, 20, of Salem, were each taken into custody around 7:50 p.m., Thursday. Rosenberger was charged with threatening to commit a crime and carrying a dangerous weapon. Holland was arrested on an outstanding warrant charging him with violation of a municipal bylaw or ordinance. No further details were available by deadline.

A Haverhill woman was due to be arraigned Thursday on drunk driving charges stemming from an early morning traffic stop and arrest. Haverhill police report Maylene Arana, 35, of 202 Presidential Drive, Haverhill, was arrested at 1:12 a.m., Thursday, at Westgate shopping center, 400 Lowell Ave. She was charged with driving under the influence of liquor (second offense), negligent operation and failure to stop for police.

A Haverhill man, wanted by police for drug and motor vehicle charges, faces additional disorderly conduct charges stemming from his arrest Thursday evening. Andre Bergeron, 30, of 57 Madison St., Haverhill, was arrested at 6:20 p.m., Thursday, at home. Under a warrant, he was charged with possession of a class A drug, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop for police, driving with a suspended license and resisting arrest. During the arrest, he was additionally charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

A Haverhill man faces motor vehicle charges in court, including unlicensed driving, after his arrest on a warrant Thursday night. According to Haverhill police, George Holmes, 31, of 5 Gile St., Haverhill, was taken into custody at 10:53 p.m., Thursday, at home. Under the warrant, he was charged with driving with a suspended license and operating an unregistered vehicle and operating an uninsured motor vehicle or trailer.

  1. This is the kind of scum that prompts the citizens of Massachusetts to obtain LEGAL FID CARDS and to LEGALLY CARRY weapons. Can you imagine coming upon one of these scum bags without the ability to defend yourself?

    He should be thrown in jail WITHOUT a second thought. If you take away the right to LEGALLY CARRY, ONLY THE CRIMINALS WILL HAVE GUNS!
