A Haverhill woman is due to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court on an assault charge after her arrest by Haverhill police late Wednesday night on an outstanding warrant.
Gabriella Houtman, 35, of 144 River St., Haverhill, was taken into custody at 11:46 p.m., Wednesday, on Locust Street. Under the warrant, she was charged with one count of assault and battery.
In other police news, a Haverhill man was due to appear in court to face a charge of being a fugitive from justice. Haverhill police report Adam Bergeron, 21, of 3 Federal St., Haverhill, was arrested at 12:08 p.m., Wednesday, at 2 Balgreen Court.
Also, police arrested a Haverhill man Wednesday morning on a warrant charging him with trespassing. Dennis Gallant, 24, last known address of 366 Main St., Haverhill, was taken into custody at 9:23 a.m., Wednesday, at Plug Pond.
