Humorist Jimmy Tingle will headline Community Action Inc.’s 50th anniversary event Thursday, Nov. 12, 5:30 p.m., at Haverhill Country Club.
Cambridge-born Tingle’s career spans three decades as a comedian, writer, actor, activist and entrepreneur. He rose up from the Boston comedy boom of the ‘80s.
The 50th Anniversary event, commemorating a half-century of CAI empowering individuals and families to overcome poverty, is supported, in part, by the Institution for Savings, John and Deb Maddox, Pentucket Bank, Haverhill Bank, Richard Purtell, North Shore Bank and North Shore Data. The evening includes a live auction, wine raffle, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and full dinner.
