Weekend Arrests Cover Unlicensed Driving, Failure to Attend Jury Duty

A Salem man was due to appear in Haverhill District Court on motor vehicle charges including unlicensed driving after his arrest by police Friday stemming from a traffic stop at White’s Corner.

Daniel Rooney, 61, of Salem, was arrested at 11:39 a.m., Friday, at 1 Bridge St. He was charged with driving with a revoked license and failure to stop or yield. He was also taken into custody on an outstanding warrant charging him with driving with a revoked license.

In other police news, a New Hampshire woman is due in court after her arrest Friday night on a warrant charging her with being a fugitive from justice. Haverhill police report Tammy Gould, 52, of Farmington, was taken into custody at 8:22 p.m., Friday, on Baldwin Street.

Also, a Haverhill man was arrested on a warrant charging him with failure to attend jury duty. Haverhill police report Thomas Hale, 26, of 68 Pilling St., Haverhill, was arrested at 8:20 a.m., Friday, at 340 Broadway. He was due to be arraigned Friday in Haverhill District Court.
