The Haverhill Council on Aging is sponsoring a holiday-themed trip to Strawbery Banke, Portsmouth, N.H., Saturday, Dec. 12.
It begins with an early dinner at one of the city’s historic landmarks, The Library Restaurant. Following dinner, travelers will go to Strawbery Banke for the 5 p.m. opening of the 36th Annual Candlelight Stroll, and see historic houses from four centuries, hundreds of wood and glass candle boxes lighting the lanes, live music, horse-drawn carriage rides, demonstrations and more. Santa will bring a Christmas gift for each traveler.
